Raised in my home town, Monroe Louisiana . Most of my time was spent surrounded by the elders and senior generation of my family. I grew up understanding there was a lot of history in our family and a lot of different ways to tell the story. I also realized it wasn’t the story that was told, it was the way the person saw the story in their mind. I went to school in 4 different states and a lot of traveling in between. Through this I became more open to new ways of seeing things. I am the oldest of 3 children born to a strong African American woman, whose strong religious beliefs and family values, taught us to be confident in all our endeavors.

My being the more “out going” of the 3 children, I had a far stretched imagination. I had a lot of ideas and vision! I wanted to connect with people, and learn more about what they saw or felt! I wanted a better understanding because I was never satisfied with just knowing the what. I needed to know the why as well. (Thanks to Earnest Jones Jr.)
WRITING IS A PLEASURE, NOT A JOB! -Weather it was in song, poetry, comedy skits or T.V. shows. I wanted to reach out to people and express something new as well as create doorways of MENTALexploration. I was taught to be a sponge and to soak up as much knowledge and understanding as possible. The world is a wonder and I don’t want to miss out on it or, misunderstand it.
